Pusch Ridge Pirates
The Pusch Ridge Pirates Swim Team trains at Oro Valley Municipal Pool. The pool is a heated Olympic size facility which allows us to train both long and short course. The pool is located at 23 W. Calle Concordia in Oro Valley, Arizona. Here is a link to the pool website.

Phoenix Winter Invite Meet
This past weekend was a great start to the end of the season! We had 19 team records, 149 best times and as a team we dropped over 12 minutes!! Congratulations to Collin Murphy for winning the 13-14 boys High Point! We had 15 swimmers qualify for finals including Johnathan Alexander, Lexi DeFrancesco, Kennedy Fernandez, McKenzie Harrison, Calvin Holst, Caitlyn Kelley, Mackenzie Kester, Rachel Kester, David Knight, Kaili Martinez, Sadie Mulay, Collin Murphy, Josh Oetter, Tim Oetter and Stephanie Strickland. Tsunami Winter Meet
On January 15th we had many swimmers head down to Sierra Vista for something novel for Arizona, an Indoor Meet! We had several great performances by many different people. The swimmers have been working on their sprinting and their ability to bring great effort in practice and it clearly showed. The swimmers of the meet were Haley Johnson and Lexi DeFrancesco. Both of them got best times in all of their events and had amazing swims all around. Additionally they were the only swimmers to have double digit time drops. We also set 5 new team records at the meet. Collin Murphy set 4 team records (13-14 Boys 50 Free, 50 Back, 100 Breast & 200 IM) and Johnathan Alexander set 1 team record (15-18 Boys 200 Back). Team Apparel
Just a reminder we do have a team apparel page where you can order previous year t-shirts and team caps along with some other accessories including car decals and patches. We only have select sizes for some of the t-shirts so please see the apparel page for the available sizes.When filling out the form, please include your name and email. When you click the send email button, the form will be transmitted to the team email where we can review your order and provide you with a total for your order. USA Swimming Deck Pass
In September, USA swimming launched a new program for swimmers called Deck Pass. It is an AWESOME tool to help you monitor and reward your swimming achievements. Any swimmer who is a USA registered swimmer can create an online account and use this tool. As a swimmer you can track your best times and set goals for each event based on your best time or your previous season best time. When you achieve the goal you will get a patch. We as coaches can also give you patches for significant achievements. You can also download the Deck Pass App for Android or iPhone. We HIGHLY recommend that you check it out!

Pusch Ridge Swimming has a Facebook page. The page will be shared by the Pirates and the SAAA Penguin team. If you have a Facebook account, become a fan of Pusch Ridge Swimming. We will be using Facebook as another tool to get information out to our teams. Here is a link to the page.
For myself, losing is not coming second. It's getting out of the water knowing you could have done better. For myself, I have won every race I've been in.
